Laura B. Howell is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with individuals and couples and groups.
Laura has a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology from the University of Georgia. She a Master’s of Science in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University as well as a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She is fully licensed in the state of Georgia.
Laura’s background includes working with both battered women and their children at a battered women’s shelter and public speaking. As a student and professional counselor, she has provided therapy in a variety of settings including private practice, medical practices, hospital, nursing home, and correctional facilities with adults of all ages and children.
She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as other modalities of therapy collaboratively with individuals to aid them in examining their thoughts and beliefs that are impacting them in a negative way.
Laura is experienced in working with individuals who have been victims of trauma, individuals with severe mental illness, individuals with anger issues, families of/individuals with brain injuries, depression, and anxiety.
Laura enjoys walks in the park, snow skiing, and curling up with a good book.
