Kjesti (“kiss-tea”) Johnson Easton is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) who works with individuals, couples and small groups.
Kjesti holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wheaton College. She worked with children and families with developmental issues and mental health concerns for 8 years. Recently, she has obtained further training in working with couples and relationships as well as in providing therapy for sex issues.
Kjesti enjoys providing a safe and welcoming atmosphere for her individual and couple clients to explore their current difficulties in order to create a life they can be excited about. Theoretically, Kjesti approaches couples and relationship therapy primarily using a developmental approach focusing on differentiation, attachment and neurobiology. She helps individuals grow a strong sense of self and to communicate clearly with their partner while being able to tolerate difficult conversations and feelings. She sees her role as coach, educator and therapist in her couples counseling sessions. Clients describe Kjesti as being warm and accepting as well as challenging. She works with clients from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds, lifestyles and family structures. It takes courage to embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery but the benefits are worth it.
Kjesti lives on seven country acres with her three teenage sons, two cats and one geriatric poodle. She enjoys running, reading, meditation and baking French macarons.
Kjesti's Rate: $95 for individuals & $105 for couples per 1-hour session, please see our Rates & Insurance page for more details
Please note: due to Kjesti working towards her full LPC counseling licensure and completing her LAPC supervision time, she is legally unable to accept any form of insurance. Her LAPC license allows her to work with Victims' Comp clientele & couples looking to complete premarital counseling requirements for the state of GA.
